Affordable & Abundant Housing

• Use City-owned land to build more affordable housing at every opportunity
• Work with communities and builders to build neighbourhoods together
• Incentivize builders to create family-sized units, affordable or below-market-rate housing, and to do it quickly
• Strengthen the planning department at City Hall to help speed up proposals and permits, and eliminate unnecessary reviews and revisions
• Invest in existing Toronto Community Housing and shelters to improve conditions and maintain them going forward
• Allow for more housing options, like multiplexes and low-rise apartments 
• Support non-profit housing options like expanded and renewed housing co-ops
• Ensure new developments have robust community consultation processes from the beginning to guarantee positive outcomes for all stakeholders
